BP DATA CENTRE

A Tier 3 1000m2 data hall integrated into an existing building envelope. The design solutions were evolved and developed using 3D CAD drawings and modelling.  These demonstrated service routing this being necessary to show the single point failure/risk had been managed out in the design. The drawings also permitted significant off site fabrication, there by delivering a modular design and construction solution.

 

 

 

 

 

CROYDON BANK DATA CENTRE

DATA CENTRES DUE DILIGENCE - NORTHERN EUROPE

Dunwoody LLP undertook an evaluation of the services and infrastructure on a number of data centres in Northern Europe for a potential investor. The evaluation considered the data centre capacities and current operational strategies.

 

The assessment advised on the potential Tier rating for current and alternative operational strategies and identified opportunities for upgrade. The energy and carbon benefits of the sites were considered in addition to the age, condition and current performance.

LANGHUS

Dunwoody LLP completed a concept design for a new 21 data hall development housed within 3 buildings all set within a dedicated secure campus in Scandinavia.

 

The technical solutions were established to deliver a PUE of less than 1.3 based upon a Tier 3 design offering 2kW/m² of IT power.

 

 

 

 

 

PLANT REPLACEMENT PROGRAMME

As part of the programme of plant replacement works, Dunwoody LLP worked with the delivery team to design and commission 2MW of heat rejection plant including the dry air coolers, circulating pumps and controls, the addition of adiabatic cooling to the plant increased both the system capacity and operational resilience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

GOVERNMENT REMOTE DATA CENTRE

Dunwoody were instructed to provide the detail design for the necessary cooling upgrade of a 400m² Tier 3 data hall.  The 1990’s hall was to remain operational at all times.

 

Due to the age and construction of the hall, limited spare space existed and there was no opportunity to increase the floor or ceiling voids.  The adopted solution of in row cooling along with the introduction of air managed aisles delivered a higher capacity solution along with an improvement in resilience and energy efficiency.

 

 

 

MF GLOBAL

Dunwoody LLP as Client Consultant, were briefed to select the service provider for a new 700m² dedicated data hall.  Dunwoody LLP established the concept design, operational requirements, technical performance and reliability standards necessary.  We also analysed the providers proposals and audited the detail designs and installation of the successful company.

 

As Client Consultant Dunwoody LLP were responsible for accepting all installations and systems at integrated system testing.

Two 1500m² data halls offering a Tier 4 service solutions.  The Halls were design to provide 1500W/m².

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

NAVISITE DATA CENTRE

A Tier 3 1000m2 data hall integrated in to an existing building envelope.  The compliance procedures adopted were extremely stringent. The testing regime commenced with a programme of factory tests for all system critical elements; this was followed by room heat load, system and integrated systems tests.  All as part of the proving process before going live.
