INTERMEDIATE ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
We are looking to expand our design team and seek an Electrical Engineer.
The successful candidate will be expected to have the ability to develop designs and co-ordinate engineering services.
The successful engineer would need to demonstrate experience in a number of project types and systems and be familiar with industry standards.
It is expected that you will possess a level of technical knowledge, building services design and industry standards and be capable of incorporating these technologies into any project.
The engineer should be educated to HNC/ONC/BTEC level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent preferably with a minimum of 3 years industry experience but not essential.
The engineer should demonstrate their activities in developing their professional status.
Role, Responsibilities and Skills:
- Survey, tests and reports on existing installations
- Participate in technical meetings with professional and contractors teams
- Undertake engineering calculations using Amtech, Pro-Design or equivalent software.
- Preparing tender specifications and drawings for projects
- Responsible for technical performance of others including trainee, graduates and engineers
Furthermore you will need to possess the following professional and technical expertise:
- Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types
- Knowledge of MS Office applications - word, excel, etc
- An understanding of British Standards
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Environmental Engineering
- HNC/ONC/BTEC level in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
Experience
Ideally a minimum of 3 years experience in a UK consultancy firm.
Job Type: Permanent, Full time. Salary dependent upon experience.
Must live within a commutable distance from the Harrow office.
